My Story

Born and Raised in California, Now Back Again

I was born in Anaheim and spent the first 18 years old my life in the same house in Chino Hills, California where my parents still live. My parents were both teachers when I was growing up. While my siblings went into the “family business” of math and teaching, I was the black sheep and was interested in science. I attended ASU on a National Merit Scholarship and graduated from the Barrett Honors College with two Bachelor degrees in Biochemistry and Psychology.

I attended medial school at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. I then returned to Orange County and and did my pediatric residency at CHOC Children’s. I got married at the end of residency and moved to Phoenix, AZ where my husband was completing his surgery residency. After he completed his residency, we moved to Payson, AZ where I practiced for many years in a traditional pediatrics role, including outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, attending deliveries and caring for newborns in the hospital. While there, I served as the Pediatric Medical Director, Vice Chair of Medicine, and Perinatal Committee Chairwoman, in addition to being a member of the Medical Executive Committee.

As my children grew, I wanted to be closer to family who all still lived in California and to give my children all of the opportunities in Southern California that were not available in the small town we lived in. I moved back in 2022 when my son started kindergarten. I worked in Ladera Ranch at Coastal Kids before moving over to Ocean Pediatrics. I met so many wonderful people and families in Ladera. We moved to South Orange County in 2025 and are happy to call this place home. I look forward to serving the community we live in and love.
